Citrus has extensive Specialist Housing experience over several years.
As part of our activities in this sector Citrus has acted as property partner for 4 national charities and specialist housing providers. This entails sourcing appropriate properties across the whole country, carrying out any building or conversion works required to meet regulatory requirements and handing over these units for occupation.
By way of example, we have delivered some 14 children’s homes for occupation by vulnerable youngsters to national charity Homes2Inspire who help the most vulnerable children in society by giving them a safe place to live and the time and patience to work through any difficulties they have.
In recent years, therefore, we have delivered dozens of units of specialist housing for our charity and specialist housing partners and we continue to be active in this market.
We have also been heavily involved in various Central Government contracts over the last 20 years providing specialist housing. As an example, we have previously provided over 2,000 units for mixed family use through housing and HMO accommodation, large hostels and currently provide hundreds of such units across the country.
Citrus continues to grow our activity within the affordable housing sector. It has been a strategic aim of the company to work with RPs across the country in delivering quality residential schemes that have as their core attribute attractive placemaking and the creation of sustainable communities.
Additionally, being a property company, we are very comfortable taking on projects that involve a mix of uses including commercial accommodation where an RP would rather divest itself such built form.
We have worked with a number of the major RPs in London and the South- East as well as further afield delivering hundreds of affordable residential properties to the market across the country.
Investing in this sector remains a priority for Citrus. We are attracted both to the stability of the sector and to the continued significant growth within the affordable homes market.
