Citrus acquired a site of 2 acres (gross) in Lowestoft, Suffolk on an unconditional basis in 2022. Citrus subsequently agreed terms with McDonalds for a new restaurant unit with drive thru as well as creation of a new fast charging EV hub with 8 fast chargers.
Working with McDonalds, planning was obtained in circa February 2023 for the new unit and EV chargers and the Mcdonalds site was then acquired by McDonalds. Terms were agreed with EV Networks (EVN) for a long lease to operate the EV chargers with lease completed in November 2023.
Both the McDonalds restaurant and the EV chargers are now fully operational and trading.
