Regeneration - Stone Road,Birmingham

Stone Road comprises circa 75,000 sq ft of built form and consists of a large residential hostel together with 63 individual residential units. Additionally 4 retail units including small supermarket are located at Ground Floor level.
The building is located on a key strategic island site forming part of the Southern Gateway to Birmingham City Centre. Currently tenanted by a national accommodation provider, the Stone Road site forms an important part of the Attwood Green Regeneration Initiative hosting one of the largest areas of redevelopment in the city. Indeed, Attwood Green received the Deputy Prime Minister’s award for regeneration in 2006, while a CABE ‘Building for Life Gold Standard’ award was given to the Park Central Estate, which forms part of the Initiative, in 2005.
It is envisaged that a mix of uses will be developed on the site and given that the site additionally falls within a High Rise Zone, substantial development is a realistic aspiration.
Feasibility studies exploring the full potential of the site are currently being carried out.
